Vignettes for Belgian Businesses
Autovig BE: motorway vignette guide for Belgian businesses. Fleets, company vehicles and multi-country management.
Belgian companies whose employees travel regularly to Austria, Switzerland or Slovenia need to manage motorway vignettes across their entire fleet. Each country applies its own rules regarding vehicle classes, validity periods and registration procedures.
Fleet management
For company vehicle fleets, it is essential to verify the applicable vehicle class with each official operator. Some countries offer annual vignettes suited to frequent travel, while others provide more economical short-term options for occasional trips.
What Autovig offers
Autovig centralises information on official operators, prices and validity periods for each country. We do not process payments or offer fleet management services — we point you to the official channels for each operator.
What weighs most for a Belgian fleet
For a fleet, the real question is not the unit price but the number of vignettes to track and renew. Three points come up every time.
Switzerland leaves you no choice. It sells an annual vignette only. For a vehicle that crosses the country even once a year, there is no shorter option: it is a fixed cost per vehicle, to be budgeted as such.
Austria and Slovenia leave room for a trade-off. Both sell an annual vignette, but also short durations — 1-day, 10-day or 2-month in Austria; 1-week or 1-month in Slovenia. Beyond a few trips per year per vehicle, the annual becomes simpler to manage than a series of short vignettes to re-buy before every journey.
Digital vignettes are tied to the plate, not the driver. A company vehicle that changes driver therefore stays covered, but a replacement vehicle or a new plate does not: the vignette does not follow. Confirm the exact rule with the operator concerned before departure.
