From Belgium: only one system to handle

Leaving from Brussels, Antwerp or Liège, you reach Austria through Germany, where cars pay no motorway vignette at all. Across the whole trip only one system really concerns you: ASFINAG's, mandatory from the Austrian border — and not only on motorways, expressways are included too.

ASFINAG sells four durations: 1-day, 10-day, 2-month and annual. There is no "weekend" vignette and no one-week vignette. For two or three days on the ground, the 10-day vignette works out cheaper than two separate day vignettes bought for the outbound and return legs, and it also covers your local driving on Saturday and Sunday.
